There are problems for current API(Air Pollution Index,API).Through comparing the domestic and external air pollution index in the basic concepts,graded concentrations and level classification in different countries and based on the situation in China,improvements are proposed here for increasing the monitoring indicators,improving the efficiency of publishing,optimizing the statistical models,etc.
