Compared with the manual monitoring systems, the noise auto-monitoring can reflect the real urban noise environmental quality. With the improvement of noise auto-monitoring techniques, the substitution of the manual monitor by auto-monitor has become inevitable. The urban noise auto-monitoring system in Changzhou is introduced, and its operation, problems and future development are discussed.
