Abstract:Emergency monitoring is the precondition and sticking point to treat the sudden water pollution accidents. The emergency monitoring in the sudden pollution accident of the arsenic polluted wastewater in Dasha River was introduced, and the projects and methods of emergency monitoring was proposed. The scientific layout of objects and scope of emergency response monitoring and timely adjustment of the project played crucial roles in prompt and proper dealing with the sudden pollution accident. Also suggested the emergency monitoring measures include building emergency monitoring network, intensifying the capability building of the monitoring team, strengthening the pollution sources monitoring and so on

Abstract:Environmental scientists are more and more focusing on new type permanent organic pollutants, such as bromide flame retardants, perfluorinated compounds, polychlorinated naphthalene, polychlorinated n - alkanes, drugs, and personal care products. The present detection and analysis techniques of these environmental pollutants were summarized.

Abstract:The rapid method of accurately preparing standard solutions with certain concentration in the environmental monitoring analysis was introduced. In the experiment process, the bitriangle analysis method is used to weigh standard materials and prepare standard solution, which can be achieved quickly and accurately. In practical environmental monitoring, the better results can be always achieved, and the relative error is smaller.

Abstract:By taking polluted sediment dredging and disposal project of Caohai of Lake Dianchi as an example, assessment factors and focus are identified and analyzed. The environmental impact assessment of engineering on water quality, surrounding landscape, and assessment of smell and noise are discussed in construction periods. Besides, environmental assessment impact points of sediment stockpiling on groundwater, soil and surrounding odor are presented. Based on environmental impact assessment of dredging on surrounding ecological environment in operating period, the points of environmental benefits of dredging project are analyzed. Aiming at the secondary pollution problems produced during dredging, residual water treatment and sediment stockpiling, some practical countermeasures for secondary pollution prevention are pointed out.

Abstract:Analyze the investigation result of organochlorine pesticide in soil of certain region in Wuxi. The data show that the main organochlorine pesticide residues in local soil consist of low - level p,p'- DDE and p, p'- DDT and they are of no significant hazards to ecological environment and human health.

Abstract:In order to locate the source of cyanide detected in main outfall of production wastewater of an iron chain factory, the production process, wastewater composition, wastewater treatment process, the materials, and test method are all analyzed. Consequently, it was found that cyanide was produced by the chemical reaction of the materials in the blackening process, which was testified by adjusting process route and this problem was resolved thoroughly.
