Abstract:A mathematical model system on the prediction and alarm for sudden air pollution accident was develped,which was consisted of meteorological model, atmospheric diffusion model and GIS.The data solutions gained from the model combining with GIS make an analysis of the diffusion of pollution.In that case,the spatio-temporal concentrations and the level of the pollutants canbe acquired.Moreover,the important information on population and institutes nearby can be obtained.Thus,it is available to predict the influence degree and extent by the pollution accident.The system can also provide a scientific support for emergency monitoring monitoring,field rescue and calamity survey.

Abstract:Dust haze automatically monitoring in China started fairly late and the standards and system were not established.Research on dust haze was currently in the primary stage and cities participated only in a short period of time.The system construction and operation were still being improving.Introduced the construction process,operation management and application of dust haze automatically monitoring in Nanjing by an example.

Abstract:In comparison with ordinary urban roads,the elevated complex roads are featured with greater traffic capacity,higher driving speed and more complicated driving condition,therefore the traffic-noise pollution is very prominent.The study has taken two typical elevated complex roads in Shenzhen,Chungeng and Aiguo roads,as examples to carry out field monitoring.Based on the field data,SoundPLAN software was applied to model the status of noise pollution,also the noise reduction effect after the installation of sound barriers.According to the results of modeling,suggestions on noise pollution control of the elevated complex roads were made from the aspects of sensible road planning,installation of sound barrier,and laying of low-noise road surface.

Abstract:Negative reading,pipeline condensating,frequent alarms and other common faults were researched comproposed.A simple and effective method was developed using hair to remove the dirt in silica tubes,which solved the problems of gas plug and flow reducing in nitrogen oxide analyzer.

Abstract:Introduced portable intelligent mobile terminal systems for environmental on-site monitoring management.The system was deployed in the embedded software of environment-specific PDA.It could collect data from portable analytical instruments.And monitoring results would be stored in embedded database.Meanwhile,data will be exchanged through wireless network and remote central servers.At last,it could dock with LIMS systems.The system significantly improved on-site efficiency of environmental monitoring and management staff and timeliness of monitoring data,and achieved paperless environmental on-site monitoring.

Abstract:Remote sensing technology has become an important way of monitoring water quality parameters because of its advantages such as fast,regional,global,low-cost and periodic.Now,the water quality parameters retrieved by remote sensing are mainly optically active substances in water such as the concentration of suspended solids,chlorophyll-a and colored dissolved organic matter.Although many retrieval models of water quality parameters based on remote sensing data have been established,they still have some problems when be used in remote sensing monitoring of water quality directly.Combination of ground observation and remote sensing ovservations by 3S technology will be a useful way to promote the practical application of water color remote sensing.

Abstract:The water quality of Hongze Lake and its into-lake river was assessed as worse than Grade V.The main pollutants were total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the lake.Hongze Lake was at light entrophication level by anlysis on spatial-temporal distribution of phytoplankton and involved factors.Finally,reason for first blue-green algae bloom in Hongze Lake was dicussed.

Abstract:Currently ammonia nitrogen pollution in surface water has become the most predominant problem in Changzhou.It was estimated that surface water accepted 17998.0t/a ammonia nitrogen in Changzhou by two years of monitoring and investigation and relevant information and scientific research.By calculation,farmland runoff contributed 32﹪ of ammonia nitrogen,while the upstream runoff contributed 30﹪ and the ruban domestic sewage,rural domestic sewage,industrial wastewater,urban runoff and large-scale livestock breeding accounted for less than 13﹪.Finally,countermeasures were proposed on how to reduce ammonia nitrogen in the surface water.

Abstract:Organic pollutants in the main wastewater discharged into Yangtze River in Nanjing section were analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry according to U.S.EPA method.Eighty-two of 18 classes of organic compounds were detected,including 13 priority pollutants in China,belonging to 6 categories of organic compounds,and 10 priority pollutants in U.S.EPA list,belonging to 7 categories of organic compounds.The result showed the status of organic pollution discharged into Yangtze River in Nanjing,providing support of establishing environmental risk accident prevention and contingency plan.

Abstract:The non-point source pollution in plain tidal river networks is serious.There is a serious environmental pollution problem in plain river networks for its intersectatant pollution.The study designed a large-scale to estimate the non-point source pollution load in Nantong.There were five types of different pollution modes such as municipal and town runoff,livestock and poultry raising pollution,paddy field runoff,rural domestic sewage,fish breeding pollution.

Abstract:Activated carbon fiber was used to treat the simulation of humic acid wastewater.Adsorption isotherm and dynamic adsorption curve were determined.The effects of factors such as different temperatures,different humic acids,different pH values and different velocity of flows on adsorption efficiency had been studied.

Abstract:Sludge is the main solid waste from sewage treatment plant.Because of its potential harmful impact on the environment,disposal of sewage sludge is becoming a rising challenge all over the world.Progresses in treatment technology and disposal strategy of sewage sludge are discussed.As a kind of biomass,the future direction of sludge treatment and disposal will be reduction,stabilization,resourceful utilization and energy recovery on the premise of harmlessness.
