Abstract:With Multi N/C 2100S analyzer from Analytikjena, established the method for calibrating total organic carbon (TOC) analyzer. In addition to the parameters in TOC analyzer procedures (JJG821-2005), 4 indexes were added in the method, including zero drift, linearity, correlation with standard curve and examination limit. At the same time, the determination of accuracy was changed. According to the use frequency and stability of apparatus, it is suggested that the calibrating cycle should not be over 2 years.

Abstract:Based on the experience of acoustic environmental monitoring and evaluation, problems of the current standards for acoustic environmental quality (GB 3096-2008) in implementation including standard limits and measurement were studied. Suggestions were provided for future revision to help the implementation of the standard.

Abstract:Aiming at resolving the problems of systematization, normalization and standardization in point location management for water environment monitoring, proposed a method to take REST and RIA as the software architecture, adopting CA authentication and GIS technology to develop the point location management system in water environment monitoring to meet the needs for the complicated point location management operations. The system’s logical architecture, deployment plan, and analysis procedure of water location management supported by key techniques were introduced.

Abstract:Through the background, goal, overview, the design of the automatic monitoring system for Suzou solid waste pollution, it is proved that automatic monitoring system is the only way to improve environmental monitoring. The system would provide accurate scientific data for environmental protection departments to make proper decisions and improve environmental management.

Abstract:The use of comprehensive platform with fixed sources and mobile sources, such as automatic monitoring equipment and mobile GPRS monitor, and the collaboration within the system of environmental protection provided dynamic information for nuclear and radiation efficiently at levels as data collection, transmission, storage, display, statistics and application. This improved the supervision on nuclear and radiative environment and response for nuclear and radiation emergency.

Abstract:The concentration of Lead and Zinc in the hair of 67 healthy children aged 5 to 7 years old were determined to investigate the Pb and Zn level in children’s hair in the steel wire rope industry area in Nantong. The results showed that the local environmental factors didn’t affect the children’s heath. The average contents of Pb, Zn in the preschool children’s hair in the steel wire rope industry area fell in normal range, and the over-standard rate of contents of Pb, Zn is only 7.5% which was significantly lower than that of children in downtown in 1998. In addition, there is no significant differences in the contents of Pb, Zn of the steel wire rope industry area and that of other areas. The results also showed that the low rate of over-standard of Pb relates to the high content of Zn in local agricultural products.

Abstract:The Lufeng 22-1 oilfield is the first decommissioned oilfield of China, which located at the profundal zone with the depth of 330 m in the South China Sea. According to the amount of discharged pollutant in the production period, with survey data of surface water, surface sediments and marine organisms around the oilfield area at August 1990, July 2003 and Apr~May 2008, the marine environmental impacts in the development period of Lufeng 22-1 oilfield had been studied. The results showed that the content of petroleum in surface water and benthos body increased, but no significant adverse impact on the water quality because of the sewage and food waste emissions. The sewage contained oil pollutants is the first pollution factor in the offshore oilfield development. It is suggested that monitoring index should be the oil concentration in surface seawater and oil contents in benthos body.

Abstract:Single-phase BiFeO3 powders were synthesized via hydrothermal process, by using Fe(NO3)3.9H2O as Fe resource and Bi(NO3)3.5H2O as Bi resource. The phase structure, micro-morphology, bond vibration and absorption range of visible light wavelength of as-prepared BiFeO3 powders were characterized by XRD, SEM, FTIR, UV-Vis. The results showed that the BiFeO3 powders synthesized in the calcination temperature of 500℃ were the ones with the purest phase structure, the smallest size and wider range of absorption of visible light. The stretching and bending vibration of Fe-O bonds indicated the presence of the octahedral FeO6 groups in the perovskite structure. The degradation of Rhodamine B showed BiFeO3 prepared at 500℃ were the best photocatalytic activity.

Abstract:Adsorption-desorption of chromium by brown soil were studied in the laboratory by investigating the effect of concentrations of chromium, pH, and kinds of organic acids. The results showed that the rate of absorption of Cr6+ by brown soil increased with the increase of concentration of Cr6+. In addition, brow soil tended to absorb Cr6+ in acid conditions and desorb Cr6+ in alkaline conditions. Low concentration of organic acids helped desorbing Cr6+ by brown soil. The desorption rate was greatest in EDTA condition, followed by oxalic acid and citric acid.

Abstract:The catalytic oxidation treatment of the wastewater from production of epoxy resin under normal temperature and pressure is studied. Using the carrying-catalyst developed by Nanjing Grand Environment Protection Co.,Ltd and adjusting the pH of wastewater between 3.5~5.5, the removal efficiency of the COD could reach 85% after 0.5 hours' reaction under normal temperature and pressure.

Abstract:Comprehensive analysis of environmental quality is the most important way of environmental monitoring to provide technical support for environmental management. There are 4 important elements to evaluate the comprehensive analysis, including accuracy of information, timeliness of submission, prominence of focus and strength of penetrating. Accuracy of the information means accuracy of all data, method and conclusions. Timeliness of submission indicates initiative service, information capture and creative idea. Prominence of focus demands clear points and horizontal comparison in the report. Strength of penetrating requires consideration of the economic, social and hydro-meteorological conditions to improve the service of analysis.
