Abstract:Many haze monitoring stations were established in domestic cities in China with more understanding and attention of haze hazard and monitoring. In this paper, studies on haze monitoring were reviewed including the factors of haze monitoring, aerosol characteristics and formation mechanism. Three prospects of haze monitoring were proposed for management and technicians.

Abstract:On the basis of a large number of monitoring data from various laboratories in China, the accuracy control index for the determination of Benzo(a)pyrene in soil was studied. The index was compared with that in EPA8270D, so as to provide the QC reference and QC index for the environmental monitoring. The results indicated that the relative error control limits of standard samples were 0~56.4%, and the recoveries of real samples were 55.8%~115%.

Abstract:The precision and accuracy of determining active chlorine in water using N,N-diethyl-1,4-phenylenediamine spectrophotometric method and portable photometer were compared. Results showed that both methods performed equally in precision and accuracy. The method study showed that the N,N-diethyl-1,4-phenylenediamine reagent should be stored in 4℃ and no more than 7d; and the reaction time of KIO3 in preparing calibration standards should be changed from 1min to 30min.

Abstract:The emission supervision of waste water and waste gas was implemented on the base of the numerous products, the vast reserves, the frequent accidents and the biggish harm in chemical product zone, by establishing database of raw material, merchandise, emission and characteristic of dangerous chemical products, identifying dangerous sources and making use of GIS. The dynamic supervision of pollution discharge and the support systems of emergency decision-making were accomplished by comprehensive statistics, forecast, evaluation, combining with case study and disposal systems.

Abstract:The monitoring data on the acid rain from 2005 to 2011 in China were studied. The ratio of acid rain city, the frequency and area of acid rain were decreasing, however situation was still severe. The type of acid rain was mainly sulfuric acid rain, and the contribution of nitrate to precipitation acidity was increasing year by year. The sulfur deposition flux showed decreasing trend and the nitrate deposition flux showed increasing trend compared with those in 2005. The annual pH value was at the same level with the USA, Japan and other East Asian countries, however the deposition flux of the major acidic ions was at a high level.

Abstract:Advanced requirements for the ambient air quality assessment were put forward on the new air pollution situation and developing monitoring technology in China. The progress of ambient air quality assessment in China and the main assessment methods in the foreign countries were summarized to analyze the existing problems, and to propose the assessment methods for ambient air quality on the base of the foreign advanced experiences and the national actual situations. This study aimed to reflect the situation of ambient air quality in our country and evaluate the environmental management effect.

Abstract:The emission factor method was used to estimate the industrial VOCs emission in Jiangsu. The results showed that oil refining industry, organic chemical industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing and coating equipment industry were the main pollution sources. Based on the analysis of current emission and control situation, it was found that oil refining industry and organic chemistry industry were the difficult points of emission controlling management. By investigating advanced management experiences both at home and abroad, the suggestions on VOCs emission management for Jiangsu province were presented, including making emission standards, strengthening supervision of enterprise and shaping the environment monitoring ability, which had reference value for air pollution control in Jiangsu.

Abstract:Our country groundwater,surface water and soil was serious polluted by Chromium slag, which cause emerging great threat to ecological environment even human health. It is extremely urgent to carry out repair work of chromium slag contaminated sites. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of chromium slag contaminated site, the latest research trends of contaminated sites remediation technoloogy at home and abroad, analyzes its deficiencies and development trends of the remediation technology of contaminated site by chrome slag.

Abstract:Chlorpyrifos was widely used in prevention of insect pests and treatment of diseases in agriculture since it was thought to be an efficient, safe and broad-spectrum heterocyclic insecticide. Chlorpyrifos was suggested to replace insecticide high-toxic pesticide for pollution-free agricultural products by National Development and Reform Commission. However, it has recently been prohibited for use in the USA and some European countries because of environment safety concerns. Here the toxicological mechanisms, environmental exposures, transformation, and environmental quality criteria of Chlorpyrifos were discussed in this paper based on recent literatures. This work aimed to provide basic background and data for environmental health risk assessment, the ecological risk assessment and water quality criteria assessment in China.

Abstract:Petrochemical construction projects had complicated technology, heavy pollution and high environmental risks, in that case, the environmental supervision had its own characteristics. Taking a petrol quality improvement construction project as example, relationship and differences between environmental supervision and construction supervision were analyzed. A positive interaction mechanism between environmental supervision and construction supervision were proposed , which gave beneficial reference to the relevant studies.

Abstract:This article systematically analyzed the factors which influenced the reliability of environmental monitoring data from the perspectives of government assessment system, monitoring network management, monitoring quality management, automatic monitoring and etc. The article proposed that the accuracy, reliability and the quality of environmental monitoring data should be achieved through the means of changing monitoring system and government assessment system, optimizing monitoring network, transforming the structure and nature of monitoring bodies, increasing the monitoring capacity-building, strengthening monitoring standardization, intensifying the training of technical staff and casual inspections, speeding up the construction of remote video monitoring and establishing the evaluation system of the reliability of environmental monitoring.
