Abstract:This paper discussed the ambient air quality of Nanjing and surrounding cities during the 2nd summer Youth Olympic Games. Besides,it summarized the control measures and revelation from the experience of air quality assurance. For improving air quality,we suggested normalizing air quality assurance system,speeding up industrial restructuring,controlling the emission of coal combustion and other serious pollution industriescomprehensively,and enhancing the work foundation and capability of environmental protection system.

Abstract:This study employed the photobacteria (Vibrio fischeri),to evaluate the effectiveness of early biological toxicity warning detection in various water source sites and tap water in Wenzhou area,and also explored the feasibility of using the biological toxicity index to early warn and assess the water quality in real cases. The results indicated that under normal conditions,the water quality of drinking water sources fell into a safe interval (±18%) of the luminescent inhibitory rate,and water under abnormal conditions,such as that polluted by pesticides,showed significant increase in the luminescent inhibitory rate. The photobacteria showed sensitivity to the toxicity of organic and inorganic pollutants during each phase of tap water purification process and therefore it could be used to indicate the safeness of water on line in real time.

Abstract:In this paper,we analyzed the characteristics of some representative accidents of drinking water source in Jiangsu. It was pointed out that the accident risk from structure and layout was highlighted,as well as the environmental risk from transportation. The illegal emission of company also could cause the unexpected accidents easily. There was not enough means of monitoring and early warning for the drinking water source. The mode of combined water control was not established until now,the same as control mechanism of watershed environmental risk was. The risk assessment for unexpected environmental accidents of drinking water source should be developed. The monitoring and early warning network should be improved,and the prevention and control mechanism should be improved too. The technique of emergency treatment in the accident should be investigated. At the same time,we should accelerate the adjustment of industrial structure and the construction of backup water source. the accidents and summarized the reasons. We suggest that we should improve and perfect the risk prevention system,straighten out the duty of related departments,enhance the engineering ability to response the incident drinking water pollution,strengthen the ability for co prevention of different areas.

Abstract:In this paper,long optical path length spectrophotometry was used to determine the colority of water,which chose 480nm as the wavelength of monochromatic light. Compared with the conventional spectrophotometry,the sensitivity of this method was greatly improved with the optical path enhanced 10 times,which could be suitable for the determination of low chroma water (<30 degree). The monitoring data was transmitted by GSM wireless communication system. So the real time dynamic remote transmission of the water colority was realized,and the intelligent water system for early warning of unexpected water pollution accidents was established.

Abstract:The interferences from sampling flow,in situ temperature,and the back flushing of pretreatment device were discussed in monitoring the flue gas of high humidity and low sulfur dioxide using a portable non dispersive infrared gas analyzer. Based on the laboratory and field tests,countermeasures were explored to eliminate these interferences,including controlling the sampling flow,extending preheating of the equipment,and flushing the pretreatment device back,ensuring the stability and accuracy of the flue gas monitoring.

Abstract:In order to properly set up water quality monitoring sections for the mainstream of the Tuhaihe River,the dynamic similarity method was used to optimize a total of 13 water quality monitoring sites along the river based on the monitoring data of COD,BOD5,NH3 N,TP,and Cr6+ from 2010 to 2012. The optimal similarity was calculated by computing the distances between the optimum sites and the worst sites during the abundant water period,normal water period,and low water period. To test the accuracy and precision of the measurements,the optimization results were verified by the T test and F test. The results showed that 8 out of the 13 monitoring sites that were optimized were able to reflect the water quality of the mainstream of the Tuhaihe River,and that the dynamic similarity method was feasible to optimize the water quality monitoring sites of the river.

Abstract:In this paper,we briefly proposed the estimate methods in aspects of the air volume,flue gas quantity,fuel consumption,and the operating load of the boiler. Compared the real air volume with the theoretical one,the operating load of the boiler during monitoring was roughly estimated. In contrast with the standard on operating load of the boiler during monitoring period,we could judge the accuracy and effectiveness of the monitoring data.

Abstract:The content of methanol was determined by automatic headspace gas chromatography under the condition of 80 ℃,30 min balance time,and 4g sodium chloride in the top empty bottle. The results showed that the linearity of methanol was in the range of 1.00~12.0 mg/L,and the recovery was between 102% and 105%. The detection limit was 0.11mg/L,and the RSD was 3.6%. This method for determination of methanol in the waste water could complete the whole procedure within 30 minutes,which greatly shortened the time of the sample pretreatment.

Abstract:This paper aimed at analyzing,discussing,and summarizing the problems during the operation of emission monitoring equipment of stationary sources,as well as proposing improved methods and suggestions to solve these problems.Specifically,these problems included failure of the monitoring equipment due to the transducer,the built-in pump,and daily calibration,determination of monitoring parameters containing dynamic pressure and excess air ratio,nonstandard sampling locations,excess large flue area and the uncertain operating load.

Abstract:Small volume liquid liquid extraction,dispersive liquid liquid microextraction and solid phase microextraction coupled with portable GC MS were developed for the determination of representative semi volatile organic compounds(SVOC). By confecting standard water samples,we compared the extraction efficiency of the three methods. The results showed that on the optimum extraction conditions,three pretreatment methods could all get satisfactory results. Linearity was obtained in the range of 5~50 μg/L. The detection limits of 14 SVOC were in the range of 0.1~3.5 μg/L. The extraction efficiency of solid phase microextraction was the highest except for phthalic acid esters,while dispersive liquid liquid microextraction was better for organophosphorus. Compared with the other two methods there was no particular selectivity for small volume liquid liquid extraction. When we determined the actual water samples,we could obtain different sensitivities,precision and anti interference abilities. But all of them could meet the requirements of emergency monitoring in the water environmental pollution accidents.

Abstract:To get a comprehensive understanding of atmospheric particulates in Yancheng,PM2.5 as the primary pollutant was investigated in respects of its sources,chemical composition and source apportionment. The online single particle aerosol mass spectrometer was used for the real time analysis of the sources of particulate matter in Yancheng from 12 am,December 16th to 9 am,December 21st,2014. The results showed that the main source of particulate matter (PM2.5) for ambient air in Yancheng was coal combustion (23.7%),followed by motor vehicle exhaust (18.3%),dust (15.7%) and biomass burning (14.8%). Industrial pollution sources,secondary inorganic sources and other sources provided relatively small contributions.

Abstract:The modified osculating method was used for the analysis of the water quality of the Yangcheng Lake as an exemplary water body. Evaluation of the east,middle,and west area of the lake water highlighted the advantages of the osculating method for evaluating water quality of complex lake ecosystem. This method uses a simple and flexible model and requires only minor amount of calculation. The result is direct and visual. Compared with previous methods which utilize a general model for evaluating water bodies that are different in time and in space,the modified osculating method is capable of providing more accurate and objective evaluation for the water distribution law in different time and in space,and of predicting the change trend of water quality. At the same time,it calculates entropy weight to determine the main pollution factors,which is different from the evaluation method of equal index weight or ignored index weight. It could make the evaluation result on water quality of lake ecosystem more reasonable.

Abstract:To understand the influence of the dredging operation of the Taidong River on the water quality of the Tongyu River,we monitored the water quality during the operation by sampling water along the Taidong River as well as the east segment of the Tongyu River on June 8,September 12,and December 6,2012.The results showed that the water quality essentially maintained at level II and level III during the operation.According to the annual evaluation report in 2011 and 2013 from the Yancheng Branch of Jiangsu Water Environmental Monitoring Center,the dredging operation of the Taidong River cleared the bottom sediment of the river,and upgraded its protection against floods as well as the capability of navigation.Improvement of the water quality of the Taidong River effectively raised the water quality of the Tongyu River from downstream,ensuring the drinking safety.

Abstract:The current situation and problems of risk management in business were briefly introduced in this paper. The environmental monitoring stations at grass roots level did not know much about risk management in business. It was lacked not only the systemic management but also the guidance document of risk management in environmental monitoring. The risk concept of environmental monitoring should be established properly,as well as risk management organization. Besides,the risk management system combining closely with the monitoring work should be improved,and the environmental monitoring work with high risk must be given priority. Abstract:The management system for the automatic water quality monitoring was constructed and the application platform was unified. The statistical analysis function for early warning was improved with the help of instrument identification set and the aided audit for monitoring data. To meet the needs of environmental management,the field instruments were automatically inspected by means of platform and the data was centrally managed.
